Does anyone have any experience with this exhaust company? I ordered dinan axle back back in August and delivery has been delayed. Rep now says shipping should be on 10/9. I am considering canceling the order because I find Dinans customer service so far to be horrible.

Any thoughts would help

talking to myself here but I'll vent so others can see and perhaps reconsider purchasing from Dinan.

Ship Date is now presumably 10/25. This will make it 2 and a half months since ordering an axleback for my car. Customer Service isn't really helpful either. Cannot say I'll ever order parts from them again.. Now looking at alternatives and will possibly cancel this order

Hey op, so sorry I missed this post. We’re a U.S based company and really active on the forums with a very positive feedback score we have multiple best-sellers across different models, like our M340 exhaust,several downpipes and intakes. The 540 exhaust is a newer product for us, so while there aren’t a ton of customers running it just yet, we expect it to be very popular soon.

Thanks for the response. Giving Dinan one last chance until the 25th. If it doesn't work out I'll be in touch... what's the current wait time for 540 axleback?

I waited 6 months for the final piece to arrive (the axle back) on my Dinan system. It was worth the wait. Nothing new here with Dinan pushing out the dates over and over. Frustrating, but it’s well known they do this, so if you know it going in, it helps set expectations.

You’re right though. It feels like the guy on the phone or answering your emails has zero knowledge what’s going on with production.

yeah I was totally blindsided to this... On the phone they definitely don't give me details on the hold up or anything....They are not even empathetic

Yeah, I remember watching that “estimated ship date” push and push every time it got close. I also remember when it moved only a few days up (instead of 2-3 weeks at a time) when you knew they knew something.

My delays were during COVID and the “supply chain shortage”. I’m really surprised you’re having this much of a delay now.

my shipper is running the MAD exhaust on his 540, its one of the best sounding systems in my opinion

it re-uses the stock valves

Installed the Intake + Exhaust, along w/ SST valve controller. Very impressed w/ build quality and sound. Not obnoxiously loud. Nice deep aggressive tone w/ valves open. No drone. Car is super fun to drive now!

That sounds nice. Very classic BMW inline-6, in a good way. It seems like it takes the typical B58 note out a little bit. What’s your setup? Stock DP/resonator, only axle-back installed?

Yes all stock except axle back. I had my Indy shop install but didn't look too bad. If your stock pipes after muffler are > 80mm in diameter , you may need a reducer connector from MAD--because the connector supplied with the kit may not fit as it's diameter is ~ 76mm

We include the reducer now with all orders.
