Lip for OEM holes?
Are there any gloss black front lips that use OEM holes for a 2021 BMW 540i? I'm guessing there probably isn't, but I might as well ask. I love how front lips look and I would love one on my car, but I really do not want to drill any holes into my car.

Most front lips require additional holes. The screws down there are designed to hold together the bumper and lower engine covers. They are not strong enough to hold a front lip onto the car, especially at high speeds.

If I lived near RW, I would get theirs and have them install it.

There is an earlier thread on this where Joe-BMW33 and I talked about it
https://g30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=2112208 Since you have the LCI, this one will work for you. I have the same one. I only drilled 2 holes to fully secure, you could get away with not drilling any. All of the notches line up with OEM holes. https://www.ebay.com/itm/37521392836...mis&media=COPY Last edited by jiggyboiswagg; 10-25-2024 at 03:55 PM.. |

gtazu it’s the OEM style/look. You can get away with it if it’s secured properly. Though I highly suggest you screw where the two tabs I circled are. If not, as you drive the air will push the splitter down and it will prob fail over time . I used bolts washers and lock nuts. This is the closest you’ll get to minimize drilling holes

I already got the same rear diffuser and about to pull the trigger on the front lip! I may have missed it but where did you circle the location for the 2 additional screws/bolts/washers? Also, your side skirts look super nice. Where did you get them? Thank you! |

Oh my bad forgot to include that pic, see attached. Side skirts are OEM, these go great bc they are subtle but still add a flare. They come flat black (unpainted). I wrapped mine gloss |

I'm actually debating between your front lip and this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/156353709837 It seems a bit "thinner". Any comment/suggestions on it? I'll try to find those side skirts now! Any good website to buy OEM parts? |
