G30 LCI M sport steering wheel upgrade
Hi everyone
I have a 2021 540i non m sport model and i’m looking to upgrade it with some M Sport parts. I came across a really good deal for an M sport steering wheel from another LCI G30 and it has all the same buttons as my non m sport wheel. Aside from getting the proper airbag for it, would swapping the steering wheels be simple plug and play? Thanks |

Yes, but be aware that you must have a steering wheel from a car manufactured after 07/2020 (LCI). The LCI steering wheel is different from the pre-LCI and can't be crossed.

Getting the airbag out of the old wheel was the hardest part, i gave up the first time and the second time i tried it took me about 30 min. The way the airbag releases on the M sport wheel is a lot easier. All the buttons, horn, paddles, and vibration motor work perfectly. No codes thrown from the car. Perfect install
