I have an E46 M3 with PSS9s and there awesome and some time in the next month or so I'll be getting the PSS10s for my 135i. awesome product top quality and engineering. also I've always found everything from Bilstein is a perfect fit. If you got the money pull the trigger.

At the moment its an E92 setup but the only difference is slightly higher spring rates. so I guess in a few months they may have 1er specific in slightly softer form. Turner is double advertising as E92/E82 setup. Personally the extra 25-50lb of spring rate sounds perfect to me.

I just spoke to someone at Bilstein and they said there's only a PSS9 kit for the 1er and no plans to move to the PSS10 platform. I asked for spring rates and he was embarrassed to tell me that the kit is so new, he doesn't have the specs but will get back to me when he's got em.
The Part# for the e82 is F4-GM5-B579-H1 The Part# for the e90 is F4-GM5-C051-H1 BMWEBER, I've heard of the PSS9's having some issues with the shock leaking or the seals not holding up, are you experiencing any of this? |

Here's what Turner is offering: http://www.turnermotorsport.com/html...ID=GM5-D163-H1
The guy at Turner told me that this is the best first suspension mod to do, better than sways, to decrease the body roll we all hate. Not sure about that... |

no issues with shock leaking(well once but that had to do with some arm co at Watkins glen). and I don't think the spring rates will be jarring especially if you set the shocks soft. I do have to say the adjustment knobs are light years ahead of the PSS9s on the PSS10s. it really is a PITA knowing what setting your on in the PSS9, PSS10 is clear as day. |

there are tons of discussions and opinions on this so I don't want to start a discussion on it. my quick opinion is sways are a great fine tuning tool. to minimize roll and stiffen up a car springs and shocks are the way to start.

Personally I found the HR rear sway made a ton of diff for me. After that i went for the front sway too and later for the KW V2. If i had to start all over again my first mod again will be the rear sway!

I should be a little more specific. not a big fan of big rear sways. and big sway bars are a great addition to a street car but if the car is going to be driven at the limit start with springs and shocks. sways are cheaper than coil overs but not as cheep as a set of H&R sport springs. and personally I'm going to be keeping that piece of spaghetti in the rear of my car. I might change the front bar then again I wont be changing any sway bars until there are adjustable ones for our cars. but first PSS10s.

not really to high tech for me. I need to at least get my pants dirty when I'm adjusting my suspension. and I have herd of those but really haven't seen them for this application.

Anyone know the spring rates for the e90/e92 model?
edit-- Found it on e90post, Spring rates for the e90/e92 is 400F/630R Talked to bilstein and the rates for the e87/e82 are 400F/625R so nearly no difference. I'll be purchasing the PSS10's most likely today. |
