iPod/USB Not Recognized!

I've been trying to see if anyone here has experienced the problem I encountered yesterday.

I have the factory installed iPod/USB adapter (no iDrive) and up until now it has worked wonderfully. Now, when I turn the car on, the iPod will not show up. The "Y" cable will still charge the iPod and if I play the iPod through the "AUX" adapter I can hear the audio, but the USB port doesn't seem to be connecting to the stereo. I even tried using a USB thumb drive and the same issue is present. The drive shows that it's getting power, but the stereo just dispalys "---" under USB and when you push the button, it displays "Insert USB"

Has anyone else experienced this issue? I found a few people on the E90post that have had the same problem, but no solutions.

Any thoughts?

Just take it into your dealer. You are under warranty.

Thanks Free. I tried the reboot and everything I could think of and nothing worked. Just short of scheduling a dealer appointment to bring it in, I decided to pry out the USB port and see if there was any visible problem. Sure enough, everything started working fine after moving the wires around.

I'm guessing something got pinched somehow. Hopefully this problem won't arise again.
