g30 connected drive services stopped
Hi all i have been facing problems with my g30 530e 2019 connected drive services, since a week my bmw app shows latest car update from a week ago and nothing after, i removed the car from my bmw app and when i added it again and attempted to send 4 pin code to activate my account on car nothing recieved, and my connected drive on headunit only show bmw assistance (bmw messages disappeared) and update bmw services is greyed out, checked via ista and came with connected drive services limitations and no back end connection and tried to update tcb and headunit via ista and it shows failed...
Recently i have flashed latest software on car via esys and the problem came after two days later and coded m5 look on my headunit( i dont know if its related to that) So can any one help me with that? |

Has your subscription simply expired?
If you login to your connected drive ( via web browser on a pc say) check your subscriptions. My guess is that you need to renew Display the web page here to help |

Looks like your telematics battery needs replacing... Easy fix, just need to drop the rear headliner a bit.... Plenty of guides on this forum.... About $60 for a new one from BMW.

Are you sure that the battery can make that problem? Losing of back end connection with servers?

It is very common on the older G30's as the battery only lasts a few years. Even if it isn't the battery, it wouldn't hurt to replace it anyways, it only costs you about $60.... You should also be able to check what services you are subscribed to by creating an account on the BMW web site with your VIN number. I guess another option could be the shutdown of the 3G network, but that would mean EVERYBODY would be experiencing the same issue.. But for anything to do with the telematics, I would definitely start with replacing the battery. |
