Is one-step colder plugs required for stage 1?

I just got my 2019 M550 tuned with BM3 and I was wondering whether I need to swap the spark plugs for the one step colder ones.

I would say no, not just for a Stage 1 tune.

Perfect thanks! I'm assuming if i decide to go to stage 2 with downpipes then it is needed?

I would think so as you can then run more boost and hence need colder plugs. For 2020+ he said stage 1 is up to 23-24 psi, and stage 2 and ethanol is above that and needs the colder plugs.
