135i at Mosport Driver Development Track (DDT)

Took the 1er to the Mosport DDT last weekend. The DDT is completely separate from the Mosport full track. The DDT is a very short, but technical track. Speeds never get that high, but there are a number of very tight corners and there are fun elevation changes which add to the fun factor. This was my first time driving on this track.

Here an in-car video from last week. I'm trying my best to keep up (somewhat unsuccessfully) with a fully prepped old yellow Subaru race car. He was one of the fastest cars out there that day.

A pic of my 1er and a friend's E46 M3.

A wide variety of cars were present:

One final pic of me on the track:

And my left front tire is now showing cords after 3 track days.......Will replace the runflats with better rubber for next season.

Looks good, especially since your tires were corded. It'll be interesting to see the change next season with the new rubber.

Surprised to see the front cord in the center instead of the outside edge. What pressure have you been running?

From a previous track day earlier this summer, an entire strip of tread ripped off of the tire circumferentially (sort of like what you see with truck tires delaminating on the highway and leaving circumferential tread on the road). That is (not surprisingly) where I saw the cords after this most recent track day.

At my track days, I have been leaving the tire pressures as recommended by the manual (when they are cold), but I do reach low 40's when they are hot on the track.
