I have a 2017 g30 530e and it has the alarm but when I go to tick of the acoustic sound setting itdoes not let me the option is there but it does not allow me to tick it.

Check the fuse maybe or disconnect the battery for 15 min

Do you think this would work as I am able to turn on the other options such as indicators when locking but for some reason it does not make an accoustic when locking and unlocking. I would assume this might be a software or unlocking thing or might require some sort of unlocking might require special tool or might not.

This happened on my F10 after a couple of washes and was able to fix it with unplugging the fuse. You can try that first and then the battery

thanks for that. Ill try the fuse maybe its not working which is why it does not l;et me select it. Would you happen to know where the fuse would be and what one and if anyone could help me with that.

I checked the fuse. It was fine. Nothing fixed

I remember unplugging a few fuses related to any sounds, some were in the front and some in the back
