Finally arrived!
Pickup her up this morning and went for a little 250 mile yaunt, not sure I can add anything different to what has been said on the forums but it is an absolute blast to drive. The weather was pretty shocking though so I didn't feel like parking up to take some phots in the rain so I'll get some better ones when she is dry and clean. First impressions is that after only 1 day, I'm addicted to comfort access, it's just so convenient. Averaged over 27 mpg which considering I had a bit of fun on the throttle is pretty good. Autodimming mirrors were another nice surprise, never had these on a car before but they work a treat. Seats are great and the stereo sounds good. Overall this car just eats the miles up and is so easy and fun to drive. No buyers remorse here, absolutely smitten!!! |

Congrats!! Looks Nice!! I wish the cars that came here in the US did not have the egg yoke look on the corners of the headlights. It looks so much better clear like yours!!

Nice one Mac!
Just wait until you hit 6000 miles, my car feels so much faster now the engine has loosened. It's scary fast even in 5th gear on the motorway...

Nice one mate!
I've got just 600 miles up on my metallic black 135i. Trying to keep within the 4,500rpm limit (but only just managing). We'll need to arrange a meet sometime. Jack |

Cheers everyone and a big thanks to all those who provided such great info/advice on the car during the long wait. Reading the manual (twice, yes I'm a saddo!) really helped me figure out all the gizmo's before I picked it up too.
I must admit haven't really stuck to the old rev limit, I prefer the slighter harder break in method without being too brutal about it and yes I have made fair use of the little TC light! :eyebulge: That sweet roar is just addictive. Had my colleagues in stitches when they watched the adaptive xenons swivel while I turned the wheel Nick, but I haven't been out in the dark without street lights all around yet so I can't say I've really experienced them properly (or seen them strut their stuff with my own eyes). Quote:
I can't say I've noticed too many looks yet unless I reach sufficient rpm to cause a few double takes which suits me fine, it's debadged and really is under the radar so to speak when your just toodling along. I find myself wanting to take the long way home now though  |
