Cracked Windshield (without impact)
This is the 3rd windshield (in 5 years) that cracked on my 2020 BMW M550 WITHOUT any impact. The crack starts at the top of the windshield on the passenger side and comes down about 8" and makes an L across (about 3') the windshield. It has always been OEM replacement glass & cracks in the same place about every 18 months.
Has anyone had this happen? |

This is definitely something I have not seen before. Given the repetition, I have to think this is stress fracturing due to some type of weakness in body structure, such as the A or B pillars. Something is squeezing that glass and fracturing it.
Have you had any body work done?

Different companies (1 was BMW dealer; other was high-end glass company)
No bodywork to the car; never even been in a fender-bender or had a scratch on the car |
