Voluntary Recall Emissions Recall Campaign

Last week I received a letter fro BMW North America regarding a voluntary emissions recall campaign regarding a recall for a calibration issue dealing with the fuel tank module (IFM). This is for my 2025 M440i LCI.

It said to schedule an appointment with my dealer or that it possibly could be handled through a remote software upgrade. My software was just upgraded today but I saw no mention or message of the recall.

I went to the BMW website when I received the letter and checked my VIN against the recall database and it says there are no recalls on my vehicle.

Anyone else get this letter and know if there will a software update to address this? I'd rather avoid a trip to the dealer if I can.

Thanks.
