I wouldn't think so...the brochures say they come primed.

But, if you look at Roveractive's listing for m-body kit it specifically mentions:

"This listing is for a painted kit. You can also order a primed kit which you can have painted at your shop of preference. Please provide your paint code and complete VIN upon ordering so we can match your car's color perfectly. BMW will paint your pieces to match identically at its facility in Germany."

So I am not 100% sure...

As the m-tech body kit is a factory fitted option in europe, it's not hard to imagine, they have all these odd bits and pieces painted and ready to go...

True especially with a complex color like arktis.

How are you planning on getting the kit in? local dealer? Specialty outlet? You might want to enquire with them.

no color is too complicated man. a good body shop can match any color. ask hrc how his painted carbon fiber lip turned out.

No, you want a good local shop to match it to your car. I can guarantee if it was painted elsewhere it won't match exactly, especially if its pearl or metallic.

The factory is good at spraying the whole car and accesories, but colours fade with time and vary by batch.

long is exactly right. I had my reap lip spoiler painted weeks before I got my car and the color match was perfext. Other customers have done the same with silver.

There's no skill in painting a part to a premixed 'colour code' and hoping for the best.

By 'matching' I meant having the vehicle present and using a skilled eye to get the mix perfect. As factory colours vary slightly during production runs.

Quadfather and co....good points

But the key, of course, is finding a good body/paint shop
