Guys!

It is finally here. The Perfect Track Wheel....

These Satin Black Thing of beauty is designed by the good fellas at Fall-Line Motorsports and built by HRE for the sole purpose of Racing.

The wheels are specifically designed for the Grand-Am Koni Challenge, which means that use 275/30-19 Hoosier Koni Racing slicks on all four corners for the perfect neutral handling. These wheels house the Monoblock (cut-in half and bolted together; Grand-Am regulations) brakes by Alcons in the front.

Here are the specs:

Front size/weight: 18 - 9.5 (20lbs)
Rear size/weight: 18 - 10.0 (20.5lbs)
Features:
- Big Brake Clearance (including Alcon / Brembo / Stop Tech)
- modified center for fast pit-stop / Wheel change
- weight reduction by material removal on hub / spokes
- built to work with both street lug bolts(extended) and studs for easy swap

Recommended Tire size: 275/35-18 on all four corners!

Colors: Currently in Satin Black / available in many other finishes.

Price: $4200/set + Shipping
Includes a set of BBS Stud conversion Kit and lug bolts!

We have 5 sets in stock! I have a feeling they are not going to last!

We can also mount and balance Racing Slicks for those interested

Alcon Brakes comign soon!

Call/PM us for details!

"Much Thanks to Mark, Steve and the crew at Fall-Line Motorsports for making all this possible and for the opportunity for us to offer them to the others. "

So are these 18" wheels as the thread is titled "18" HRE Monoblock Race Wheels" or are they actually 19" wheels as it is recommended 19 inch tires. Thanks.

Very nice!

But I was hoping they would be the same size and offset front and back for a true square set so that tire rotation front to back at the track would be possible without having to unmount the tires from each wheel.

Anyhow, they look awesome, so thanks for coming through as promised but for me it looks like back to the drawing board. I might just have to special order those 18x9.5 Volk TE37 or RE30 like originally planned, and wait the 3-4 months before they get here.

Looks like that would have to be the case for you.... Give me a call and we can discuss. You could also get the same fronts all around. But that means that you would have to wait on these too as we can't part these sets out. too few left.

the 275/35-18 has an overall diameter of 25.2", which is actually a little bit smaller than the Stocks (25.4" front and 26.3" rear). So, they are not going to be too big at all.

Yes. The wheels were drawn to fit the Brembo BBK's, as well as other major BBK's such as Stop Tech.

Fall-Line is putting them on as they have a set of the Brembo's soon. Hopefully we will have some pictures soon.

We will definitely keep you in the loop on the brakes....

As for the wheels, we have a few sets of the Satin Black in stock.
Call us to order a set with some Racing Slicks and we will include a set of the BBS Stud conversion kit for free.

I like them! but it's a bit too $$ as a dedicated track (aka beater) wheel tho.....

... it is a little stiff.

but a dedicated track wheel should not be a beater in my opinion.
the track wheels are going to the one set that will have to take in all the beating, after all.
It will be subjected to rapidly changing heat cycles with constant torquing and stresses.
It also should have some weight benefits without sacrificing strength.

I think that this set is one that really has all these characteristics "built-In", due to all the thought and design criteria that went into it before the wheel was made.

I feel that a lot of wheels have "Track" as an after-thought, but this one is a truly dedicated "Track" wheel.

all the sets are SOLD! The original satin Black's are all gone for now.

There is more in production and is available for pre-order.
Which means that you get to pick the color and/or finish.

BTW, no center caps on these, unless you ask! He he.
