Anyone stay/been to the Gaylord hotel at National Harbor yet?

i'll be there over the weekend, and wanted to know what to do there. i'm familiar with the surrounding area outside of the resort obviously, but National Harbor is supposed to be like its own little city.

all of the restaurants are booked solid for the weekend b/c of Valentines Day though

i'm thinking its probably like the new one in Dallas, so it should be pretty decent.

hey Paul, I was there for the New Years Eve. It is really nice and rooms are quite cozy. I didn't get a room with balcony though. I was too drunk and decided to get a room instead of risking a DUI. I talked to the reception guy from a rate of $269 down to $99. I tipped him 30bucks haha

Oh, also check out Grace Mandarin. Landshark---another member here, his sister runs the place.

My company had an event there a few months ago. The hotel is large, and self-contained. There are shops and restaurants in the overall Nat'l Harbor complex, but many of them are not yet operational, and there's still a lot of construction going on. It's not yet a completed project.

Last minute procrastinator! Speaks the person who just booked yesterday too! haha. I have been monitoring opentable all day yesterday to see if there are any backouts... I was lucky enough to get a table at 5:30 haha.

PM me if you need Landsharks phone. He rarely goes on E90posts.

That's funny. I was just at the Nashville one on Jan 26 - 29.
The place is freakin huge! You get lost easily. I guess they do that on purpose so that you don't leave. Pretty cool place though.

the new Gaylord was huge. i got lost trying to find the damn place to check-in. it is its own little city even with a lot more stores scheduled to move in eventually.

pretty nice place overall. i ate at Grace's Mandarin which was good, but kinda pricey (thanks to fellow e90poster LandShark for getting me a reservation ). nice view of the Potomac though

yeah Landshark hooked me up. when I PM'd him, he was like, 'who is this?' and 'who is Jonathan?'

the atmosphere and decor was stunning and if you go during the day, the view of the Potomac is unbelievable. definitely something you'd want to take a chick to get impress her, although make sure you're ready to pay a 50% premium for all of that.

i've eaten at the other Grace's location in Bowie and its very good, so i figured this place would be too. all the reviews i read about it gave a big to the service. i thought it was VERY good and i have nothing to complain about (other than the prices).
