Got the M back out for a few days.

With the rain washing most of the salt off the roads I figured it would be a great time to get the M back out for a few days.It is so nice to drive a real car once again Even with all the craters & little grip in the cold on the PS2's it is still fun!

Nice to hear - hopefully this weather will hold a little longer (although a little chilly this morning). I was up early this morning and a quick run to grab a coffee turned into a 45min drive.

Gearhead - Glad to hear that you are taking advantage of the clear and dry roads. After driving for quite a few weeks in comfort mode I noticed the last few dry days I have been enjoying the M button again. Nice to know that we are closer to spring - but it is a bit of a teaser.

Enjoy it while it lasts.

I am sure that being around us last weekend had no influence to take yours out of storage.

At least the gas mileage is probably about the same! A few more weeks you will be able to drive it on a regular basis!

I took my car out on Monday and I'm driving it daily now. I'll put it away again if it snows, but I'm keep my fingers crossed.

It sure is cold at 4am in the morning when I'm driving in to work and the PS2's suck on cold pavement.

Nah!The truck is much worse as it gets about 18L/100 in my normal everyday use and the M gets about 13.5L/100 in the same driving. The best I have seen out of the truck is about 14.5L/100 where the M in the same driving would be under 11 L/100km.

Your truck is still better than my M6 @ 16.9 l / 100 km

My 335xi rocks at 10.3 l / 100 km for over 25,000 km.

Hope you are doing well buddy.

4am, yikes! At that time I'm still in bed for another 4 hours or so.

Seriously though, is your drive to work far from home? If there is a freak snow/freezing rain storm you'll be toast on those PS2s... dangerous game but I can understand why you'd do it.

My wifes 335 Cab averages about 11L/100 in her normal driving which is down to Hospitial row on University. Our last trip to Tennessee we averaged about 8L/100 for 3500 kms total trip distance at average of 119 kph. Those Twin Turbo 3.0L are sure good on fuel if you can keep your foot out of it!

My office is about 10km from home. No big deal for me to get home even in a freak storm.

Yeah 4am does suck big time! But my benifits are unbelievable!!!
