JDK Auto Sound?

Anybody know anything about this shop in Worcester, MA? A friend is considering some upgrades, and this is one installer under consideration.

Any pointers are appreciated!

If you are looking to get stereo equipment and installation I can do it. I have a wholesale account too. I get speakers, stereos, amps, subs, boxes, radar/ laser detectors and a bunch of other stuff. Let me know if interested. Im located in Marlborough too.

head over to luxury details in Framingham or Ultimate Creations in Clinton. I have had work done by both and both are top notch. I can provide plenty of reference work for both shops if you want...

I have seen work from him, and have seen the students from RiTop doing the work for customers...

I think Rich's is past its prime... His prices are astronomical for average work now a days. Rich's used to be the man in the area, he worked on EVERYTHING. I have been a bunch of times to buy parts when I couldnt find them elsewhere and seeing students work on customer cars kinda turned me off...

You could also try sound in motion in Brookline... make sure to bring a thick wallet.

I'm not sure where my friend ended up.

Regarding Sound In Motion, I had them install an iPod interface in my father's Lexus last year. They weren't cheap, but they did a really first-rate job.

That would turn me off too...unless they have been doing it for a long time now. I see a lot of younger people do great work, so it really depends I guess.

I was in to car audio for a while when I was working at best buy... first I started off with BBY equipment and then quickly upgraded... I would go over to Rich's as he would give us pretty descent deals on equipment. And I would always see the students working on this project or that project... but always one of there experienced installers watching over them.

Sound in Motion is just NASTY... they can pretty much do anything and there fabrication skills are off the wall. A family member owned one of there demo cars... it was a toyota avalon with INSANE work done to it...

Wayne(the owner of Ultimate Creations) did the enclosure for my ML55 when he was working at Tweeter. Its one of the best designs I have ever seen... built into a a pre existing space from the factory. He was able to shoe horn a box for a W6 V2 into a side panel where the factory CD changer was. It took no room from the hatch area... absolutely none. I later redid the speakers, headunit and amp rack myself(when I was an installer) but his enclosure was nasty!!!

Matt and I have worked a little bit on a 65 GTO project I am doing for my step dad. We are making a new center console which will house speakers, amp, and 8" subwoofer

there are a couple other shops I would also recomend if people are in other areas of the state, lol
