It's not just about horsepower, but how powerful your horses are.

Steptronic problems

Hello my past m3 was manual but the LA traffic is too much for me. So i was wondering is there a correct way to use steptronic because it seems that everytime i play with it a few days later my "engine service soon" light appears. After a few more days the engine service light disappears. I know that i shift at the right points but am i damaging my transmission? How do you correctly use steptronic without just leaving it at on drive?

I don't think you can damage the steptronic that way. The computer should take over the shifting if the engine is reving too high or too low

You problem sounds more like a computer bug?
