Emissions in NC?
I am new to Cary, NC. I am thinking about getting cpe catless dp's with cpe catback exhaust setup. Do u think I can pass emissions in Cary, NC?

NC doesn't exactly have emissions inspections anymore. Instead of sticking the sensor up the tailpipe to test emissions, they plug into the OBDII port and verify the number of faults. If you modify the car, you're fine so long as the computer thinks it's fine. If you're planning on removing the cats or changing something that wouldn't pass the visual inspection, then make friends with your local service station... Most stations don't even look under the cars, they just use the ODBII and trust the computer. I hope this helps.

Yeah just ask around to where people take their cars. I'm in Charlotte, there are several places that do, shall we say, "quick" inspections.

Hey i live in Mooresville right up the road from charlotte. Im also trying to get a full exhaust w/ out cats in my downpipes. but i used to own a 550 awhp evo and every were i go there dicks to me and i know they wont pass me cause they always visual test my cars also cause they know how i am coming from the evo world LOL.
so were are these quick tests at .. ? |
