Save your money on both if you have to decide if you want to get one or the other. Wait until you have enough money for both plus your own living expenses, then use it.

How long do you plan to keep the car? I'd go with the warranty and buy a nice used set of wheels later

Get the warranty, definitely more important than a set of wheels.

You know, this actually depends on how you feel about the car. If you had it from new or for a fairly long time, you would know about the problems it has and the time it's spent at the menders. Most extended warranties are for nothing other than peace of mind (i.e: nothing that is actually covered breaks), if you have had a spotless experience with it and have performed regular maintenance with religious fervor, there actually is no need for a warranty.

Should just say, i would just suggest you save or invest the money. Not buy wheels.

Wow, new wheels or extended warranty and no real job. Tough decision...

I'd get neither. Save your money as all extended warranties are a gamble against something going wrong. Most times you'll end up losing money on the deal (although I'm sure someone will jump in and say that an extended warranty saved him a gajillion dollar tranny replacement, etc.). Statistically speaking, dealers make money on these warranties.
