My new 335i convertible....

Good afternoon fellow Enthusiasts,

Let me take a moment to introduce myself.

I just upgraded from a 2003 330ci Convertible to a new 2008 335i Convertible. The car is Black Sapphire Metallic with Saddle Brown leather.
The car has the sport package (with factory oil cooler), PDC, Logic 7 sound system (I guess this is standard option), Bluetooth, automatic transmission with paddle shifters, comfort access and factory alarm.

I just finished breaking the engine in. The car has just over 2,800km on it now.

I've already done a few mods to the car.
- Dinan Stage 2 Software
- Dinan Pedal Set
- Bimmian Dead Pedal
- Bimmian Black Sapphire Metallic Kidney Grills
- Bimmian Keyhole Cover Black Sapphire Metallic
- ugly orange reflector delete, replaced with Bimmian Black Sapphire Metallic
- Solaris turn signal bulbs for the rear and side markers
- 20% Tint all around (except the front window)
- 3M film to protect the hood, part of the quarter panels, front bumper, mirrors, head lights & fog lights

I look forward to reading what has to be said on this forum as well as giving my .02 cents.

Cheers!

Welcome!! Nice ride--also like that M5 next to it! And you were even smart enough to post pictures (you would have heard about it if you didn't).

Love the car, color combination! Only thing I wouldn't have done is the tint (maybe a really light tint). Love the drop top too!

BTW: Dont let the dealer wash the car, looks like they managed to put some swirl marks on it already. Black Sapphire is so hard to keep clean.

I went with Silver, but it's hard to keep clean too. Too much dust and pollen here. That's why I got the Mister Hot Shine $30 a month unlimited wash package. I just take my car every day or every other day.

Solaris are different bulbs. They eliminate the ugly fried egg look.

I noticed Solaris doesn't offer a bulb for the headlights of the E92. How did you get rid of the amber?

Those 19's came with my sports package. I love the look of them and they are very easy to clean.

I wasn't able to replace the turn signal in the headlight. I was told it is a different size and due to low demand Bimmian doesn't carry it anymore.

Eh... I thought E92/93 don't have amber in the headlights, but instead have the reflector on the fender. If you look closely at this pic:

You'll see that the reflectors are painted. Maybe I am misunderstanding your question...

No you understood it correctly. For some reason I thought there was amber in my headlights. Thanks for the clarification.
