love the front but the rear looks like a Mercury and in typical MB fashion the interior is absolutely awful in every regard (imho). overall

i dont like it at all the interior is awful indeed, they should get rid of the ugly Cruise Control Arm its fugly.

To be honest, this patricular E is one of those Euro Spec Cheapo models (does not even have leather), will save comment till i see US ones.

Wait a second. Is that ginormous gauge next to the speedometer a clock!? What a wast of IP space, not to mention a distraction.

MB has some crappy gauge clusters. In my dad's C class the tachometer is in x100 so 1,000 rpm's has a 10 instead of a 1. I always get screwed up at low speeds when I'm driving and glance down for a split second.

It's not bad, maybe I'll warm up to it.. but the W211 is nicer..

in fact..to me, this is still THE e-class.

I love the "ELEGANCE" badge in the center console. Now that's elegant!

Chrome trim around the fog lights(?). Classy.

It looks like its about to kill someone. The front is like a real angry Lexus GS and the rear is like a Hyundai before Hyundai became cool. That E500 is great though, I spotted one parked one day and left a note on it saying I love your car.

Chrome trim around the foglights? I thought those were exhaust tips for the front bumper

btw, to the person who complained about the analog clock: it's been a signature of MBs for years (at least in the E and S Class.)

This is why I bought a 2009 W211. I knew this was going to happen.

However, we'll see what things look like with the 'AMG sport' version and the real AMG E63. I think (I hope) it might not be as bad in person. The one posted on the thread looks like the Avant Garde ('Elegance') econo-box taxi version.

There are very substantial improvements to the chassis of the W212. I think performance-wise it will be excellent. But the new styling, ouch.
