CF wrapped trim fs/t

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
I wanted to throw this up here really quick to see if anybody might like a lighter cf wrapped trim.

*edit* Pics now at bottom of the page.

I purchased charcoal cf vinyl which from this company is actually a dark shade of gray(depending on lighting) rather than black. It's a great material and looks more like the leather material than some of the other, thin cf vinyl. It stretches really well and doesn't distort the weave.
My wife thinks it looks good in the car and she's damn picky. I like it but decided I really want the dark cf look. The wrap came out very nice, only a couple spots on the center console that need a little touch up.
I also have about a yard left of the material if you want it with the trim.

If somebody wants to purchase it outright I'd sell it for $350. If you wanted to trade I'd trade straight across for aluminum trim or you add $150 if you have wood trim to trade.

Thanks dudes!
p.s. it's an E90 no i-drive.
and sorry for the poor quality phone camera pics.

Because although wood cost more from the dealer, NOBODY wants wood.

yeah but it sounds like he is going to wrap whatever he trades for anyway so why would it matter?

Its all supply and demand, brand new wood is like $1200 from the dealer, aluminum is like 650, I prefer the look of aluminum, so do most enthusiast who traffic this forum, its more sporty, wood is more luxurious.

If you are going to do a CF Wrap, wood is a better choice, it dosen't dent easily like aluminum and the glue holds better to it.

I am interested in the yard of left over material. I have an e39 so the trim won't work for me. I have black interior and would like a lighter color on the trim than the black. I am told a yard is enough to do mine. PM me or call 317-847-9167

Exactly what he said.
If I traded for aluminum the reason I said straight across is the aluminum is more valued here and I would most likely just install it in my car.
If I got wood trim I would be wrapping it in the darker material. Wood trim is easy to come by, thus the reason I'm asking for a little cash to compensate me for the material and time spent wrapping the trim.

I just figured I'd see if anybody wanted the already wrapped trim instead of me ripping it off and installing the darker vinyl. It's several hours of time invested to throw away.

I will take better pictures with my real camera when I get home.

Better pictures as requested. I won't quit my day job and become a photographer for sure..
Also, the trim doesn't look "bluish" like the pictures make it seem. I'm guessing it's the type of flash in my camera. Looks somewhere between dark silver and gray depending on the lighting.

Yea, that silver does look a little funky. I'm sure the pics of it installed will benefit those who haven't done this yet, but cant decide which color to use. If you have pics of the black cf trim after, it would be a cool addition to the thread. Did you have wood or aluminum previously?
