Air filter change at 1200 mile?

Did all the people with 2008 M3's get the air filter changed at 1200 miles? If so, then for 2009 M3's, there is no air filter change. The service manual says air filter change only on M5 & M6. So I'm asking if any 2009 people got air filter change at 1200 miles.

Negative. No mention of air filter on my invoice. Just standard scope, engine oil and oil filter change, micro filter and differential service. (MY 2009)

We've heard some stories of the filters being changed - one dealership even tossed an AFE filter without notifying the owner and replaced it with a stock paper filter.

Might be best to let your SA know beforehand so it doesn't happen.

I had mine done today and they did a "Microfilter Service." Part No. 64-31-9-159-606. I assume that's an air filter but perhaps it's a filter in the A/C unit???

Microfilter is not the air filter but the cabin filter for the A/C.

How hard is it to get to the cabin microfilter on the E9x?
