high pitch noise

I have just purchased my first 08 e-90. I love it. When you turn the car off and get out and shut the door you hear a high pitch noise and the park light on the shift console stays on for 2-3 minutes then the light goes off and the noise quits. You open the door or the trunk and it will start up again. Can any one tell me what it is or has anyone elso experience this noise. My dealship doesn't know. My son has a 06 e-90 and his doesn't do it.

What general area is the noise coming from?

FWIW, my E92 335 does the same thing.

My 06 E90 occassionaly does this. It's normal.
