My car was made May/07 with no software upgrades. The car performs amazingly but I do feel some lag Not half as much as my srt-4 though. Just wondering if this is normal with any software if in 1st gear If I floor it at around 2 grand It wont kick you in the ass till around 3 g's then its like a rocket! Normal or do I need an upgrade?

i guess you cant go wrong by taking it to the dealer I took my 07 335i to the dealer for an oil change and they said i had a recall on my shift knob and fuel pump which they replaced Now the car seems a little slower to me in second gear at 3g but it also runs way smoother and no more jerky 1st to 2nd shifts it took them 2 days to complete everything and reprogram the software

I just don't know what's considered normal lag. Im sure even with the upgrade you will feel a little correct?
