What does this picture mean???
Hey all...
My car doesnt come with user manual... I downloaded the manual online from the bmwusa... but I can't find that picture in the E90 LCI manual.... I'm hoping you guys can help me.. The service engine soon light is also on at first I thought I forgot to close the oil panel thing but apparently I was wrong T.T

Yep, it's the loose gas cap. Here's from the 09' e92 manual P.212:
"The warning lamp comes on if the gas cap is not properly tightened and the OBD system assumes that fuel vapor is escaping. If the gas cap is then tightened, the warning lamp should go out within a few days." Not sure why it may take a few days for the warning lamp to go out though... |

Ah... I see thank you so much!
BMW should really have like a page where they show all the possible errors I hope it doesnt relate to the muffler delete mod I did recently

The picture is not in the manual. Happened to me in Aug 2007. Took awhile for me to figure it out. I can't belive BMW has still not added the picture to the fault code pages in the manual.
