I want to change the bulbs in my headlights so something a bit more brighter maybe more blue. What type of headlight bulbs do i need, H11 or what?
Just for the record i searched a bit and didnt quite find what i was looking for.

This is what you are looking for?

This is called "Osram D1S 6,000k Bulb". You can buy it from www.suvlights.com $250. Hopefully, it helped you!

Understand that by going more blue you will actually lose some visibility over the white...

I am getting either the Silverstar and Mtec, both should work. Just need to decide on the color.

there's a ton of folks who don't give a damn about performance and are all about looks

you can tell them by the custom headlights and 20 inch wheels

they will also have a tinted front windshield

What about 8000K JDM D1S/D1R? The color temperature of these bulbs will emit an aggressive deep bluish color. If that's what you're looking for, prepare $160 for a set.

Silverstar are just halogens painted in blue glass, but again they are easier to install, no additional harnasses or ballasts, the light output will be the same as OEM fogs.

"More blue" is a safety hazard - less visible light.

I don't understand the desire to monkey with the factory lighting, other than possibly upgrading from halogen to xenon, which is of course financially brutal. Aftermarket bulb "upgrades" aren't (an upgrade).

well in that case, I'm getting the Mtec, they're like $20 more than the silverstar per pair.

I haven't been here long, but you genuinely seem like a real dick from your posts. I'm indifferent how you feel about my opinion, and of course yours would not mean jack to me even if you owned BMW Corporation, but you appear to think rudeness and being generally catty is cool, or macho. You should seriously consider a slight attitude adjustment. It's good for the heart . . .

Really? Would you like to know what I think of YOUR response? I'll be nice and spare you.

Maybe you should re-read what I wrote. I only stated the facts, and didn't attack the individual poster in any way, I only questioned the overall wisdom of such "upgrades". If that's somehow being a "real dick", then yep, I'm one huge John Holmes-looking mofo!

just because somebody doesn't want 22 inch wheels, a huge stereo, a bodykit, carbon fiber trim bits doesn't make them an asshole

the thing that makes forums good and usefull is differing opinions

if somebody posts some horrible wheels or a spoiler and everyone just strokes him saying they look great that's not useful to anyone

there are some here that are all about spending every spare cent on mods, and some that think any mod is stupid, without all of us this place would suck

Plus he's right

He just stated his opinion, nothing rude about that.

You wish. I referred to your prior posts - maybe your last was you mildest, but I happen to have seen some of your other posts and just think you are an undersized prick - that has got to be the explanation, it makes you feel heavier in the shorts. That's cool. No big deal

I know. Payback's a bitch, but at least I'm doing it to help the kid out, not just to be an ass. Anything to make him a 'lil more conscious of how he projects and how it may rub others. Just go back and read his posts and you'll catch my drift . . .
