Ipod Interface on 335i Sedan ?

Hi Guys,

I'm a bit new to the forum...so i know the repurcussions of posting without searching...i searched ipod + 335i sedan and came up with nothing.

Does anyone know whether the new ipod interface will be standard in the 335i sedan? It looks like a fantastic integration (the best i've seen of all manufacturers) I've reviewed the wholesale/retail pricesheets and did not see it on there...

thanks!

no it is not standard. The aux jack is standard and the intergration will be a dealer accessory.

Around the price of a 30GB iPod, in otherwords use the AUX port. There are some nice integrations using the Aux port in the Audio forums.

I order my e90 335i last weekend and asked about that option and it is a dealer installed option. Asked about a price and the CA said it will probably be around $150 + installation. Then I said so it will be $300 and the CA said yeah that will probably be the price. I think that is a little steep. $200 maybe but $300 that is a little hard to swallow. I think I will need to work on getting that thrown in when we finalize on the price.

I think from other posts on this site the MOST adapter for true integration of the iPod into the iDrive will be closer to $400 dealer installed... I thought July-Aug 2006 this would start showing up at dealers...hmmm

Considering its BMW the $400-500 price point doesnt suprise me one bit. My chrome tips were $65 and both my chrome grilles were $95, i think short of a new lighter those are probably the cheapest parts they offer

I am content with running it through my AUX input and using an air click to remote control the iPod. Much cheaper solution, and it works. I really dont need to see the track on my headunit anyhow, and hitting a button on a remote is just as easy as hitting a button on my steering wheel or on the radio itself.
