M-DCT
Question for M-DCT owners:
Every time I start the car and drive off in D without activating the M button, It selects no 2 from the D programme every time, can this be changed to start in no 3 programme without using the M button and its programmed modes? Great car and loving it every time I drive it |

I was going to ask the same question tonight!! When pottering around town I like the DCT box in setting 1 so it pulls away in second gear. Every time I re-start the car it changes to setting 2.
Someone must know if there is a way or pre-setting this - seems a bit of a glitch' if it can't remember your previous setting? |

As I understand it, the drivelogic preset to prog 2 is to do with the emissions testing and the results being taken from the "stock" setup of the car when the nonsensensical emissions testing is carried out. I presume on prog 2 the optimum emissions performance is output.
Therefore, this is not re-programmable (other than programming it through the M button - which requires intervention every time on start up to switch over). BTW, love the car Red! Hope you are enjoying! |

Cheers buddy I am enjoying her lots!!!!
Lovin' the DCT box, so involving and really can't see why there are DCT haters on here? It is a fantastic feat of engineering and enhances an already brilliant car IMO. Does seem silly why they have not added an option to pre-select what mode the DCT selects on startup? The M button is there to change into 'daft bastard' mode! All my settings go into the most aggressive when I press the 'M'agic button! Wouldn't be right setting it to DCT level 1 |

Hmmm I was fearing that, never mind like you say, the M button can be programmed
Though been doing a lot of miles lately and just getting 19 mpg, 250 miles on a full tank, not bad i suppose for an 4 ltre V8 beast |
