There are rumors of BMW dropping the TT 3.0 I6 from the F30 3 series and giving it to the M3 floating around. Nothing solid yet. But if it is the case, will it make the current E90/92 335i a collector's item in the future? Will it make resale higher?

No. I dont see that happening unless they tune it up another 100+ hp. A 3 will never be a collectors item. there are 235342563462 of them on the road. In NY alone.
