on my uncle's e92 w/out navi, there's this error message with an icon of a light bulb with an ! in it. I tried looking through the whole manual but can;t find anything. checked all the lights and theyre working fine. is it even a light message? it's been on for 3 days straight. anybody knows what it is?

Also keep in mind that the car is programmed to substitute a burnt out bulb with another one possibly close-by, so it may be hard to tell.

If you do not see any burnt bulbs when they are "on" (like blinkers, headlamps, side markers, etc.), have someone stand behind your car and watch while you tap on the brake pedal - easy to tell if one of the four brake lights is out. I had the same error and it turned out that both rear light clusters needed to be replaced (brake lights were the culprit). No error codes since. |

Screw it. Take it to the dealer, drink their coffee, and make them figure it out and change them under warranty. Even the 03' Benz in the garage tells me which light is out.

Dude im having this fixed on thursday. I checked all my lights and everything looked fine. Took it to the dealer and they told me it was just a type of misfire and they had to replace the part giving off the error message. Its an easy fix under warranty. My dealership had to order the part though so ive had to wait a week. Not a big deal at all

Not sure its exactly a misfire, but it is the sensor that is broken creating the false error code that is if all your lights are working correctly If not then its probably just a bulb that needs replacing!

Did you check your blinker fluid level?
