Having trouble with my ashtray lid.

Doesn't want to open easily. Seems I have to force it up(kind of pry it) with my fingers to open. Seems to have some type of binding issue. Won't open pushing it down. Never put coins in it. Usually keep it open and store my sun glasses clip ons with case in the tray. Goes in for service on the 10th
