Rocky Mountain Autocross 2009!!

I probably should have started this thread in April, but I didn't think about it...

If anyone's interested in autocross, check out www.rmsolo.org. It's our local SCCA chapter for autocross. They are having Summer Series Event #6 (there are 12 events this year) tomorrow at Dick's Sporting Goods Park. Registration for tomorrow's event is closed. The good news is that there is another event next Saturday, June 13th! This one will also be at DSGP. Anyone can come out and have fun, or just watch. Check out the Rocky Mountain Solo schedule here.

The next Rocky Mountain Chapter BMWCCA, www.rmcbmwcca.org, autocross events will be an autocross school on Saturday, June 20th, and Autocross Point Series #3 (RMC is holding 5 autocross events this summer) the following day, Sunday, June 21st.

I'll try and keep this thread updated with the happenings. I'm new to autocross this year, but I'm really diggin' it. Let me know if anyone has any questions and I'll try my best to answer them.

Registration for an RMCBMWCCA autocross event on Saturday, August 15th, is open at www.rmcbmwcca.org. Location: Dick's Sporting Goods Park off I-70 at Quebec.

Next autocross with the SCCA is the following day, Sunday, August 16th! Registration will open soon at www.rmsolo.org.

Look for me in my '95 318ti, red!

The RMCBMWCCA Autocross on Aug. 15 was a lot of fun. Anyone else go? It was my first autocross - I need a lot more practice and maybe a sponsorship deal with a tire company.

There was a guy taking photos during the morning session - anyone have his website or contact info? Didn't catch his name. Thanks.

Sadly, I did not. Actually, I haven't had a chance to attend any of the auto-x events this year. Been absolutely buried in both work and otherwise.

I'm still trying to set aside time so I can make the Fall Driving School though. Hopefully plans won't blow up on me like during the Spring one.

By the way, nice color choice to you as well. Great fit for the blue exterior.

It was nice to see you too JAA. Glad I wasn't going head-to-head with you in your old 335xi or your new Dinan 535i! How did the SCCA autoX go on Sunday with the 318ti? Once you update the brakes, etc, maybe you can squeeze an N54 into your ti's engine compartment? She would be a stealth beast!

Xiaofeng: sorry you've been so busy - life gets in the way sometimes. You should definitely attend the Fall driving school in Pueblo. I'm thinking of volunteering on Saturday and driving on Sunday. The Spring school was a blast!
