Payoff on Lease, better now or at 36 months?
Hey guys,
I'm looking into purchasing my leased car that's 22 months old. My question is does it make any difference if I payoff my car now or wait until my 3 year lease expires? Will it give me any more leverage if I wait? Is it better to get it now since the economical situation has dropped prices down and can I do any negotiating? TIA |

you have to wait until lease end if you try to negotiate purchase price. won't do you any good to do it now

They wouldn't start negotiating until month 33 of the lease.

I wouldn't say anything to either BMW FS or your dealer until they first ask you.

I did hear rumors that BMW FS stopped negotiating lease end deals again and is letting dealers do all that. In another words either you pay the set residual or get the dealer involved for a possible discount.
