extened storage

I am not going to be driving my 335i for about 4-5 months while my new house is being built. I am leaving it at my old house until my garage is done or the old house sells.

Any advice on storage procedures? Here is my list

clean/wax
change oil
over inflate tires
fill gas tank and add stabilizer to fuel
put rags in exhaust tips
disconnet battery (don't want to hook up a trickle charger)

Depending on the length of storage and vehicle, I will also sometimes add a sacrificial anode to the cooling system and squirt a little light grade machine oil onto the cylinder walls through the spark plug holes...

depending on how well the garage is sealed up, i would seal the air box too, if squirrels or mice or anything can get into the garage, they like to build their nests in air boxes and that would cause hell for your engine if you go to start it with a big nest in the filter box

Can you run the car once a week? If so, then you pretty much don't have to do anything else.

Use SOS pads or steel or copper wool to plug the mufflers, not rags. Mice chew rags.
