DSC/DSC+/ASC
Forgive me but I have been reading details in brochure about 135m sport coupe. My car is due in July, so I thought I would check out details.Regrding, "optimised ASC/DSC parameters for SPECFIC CALIBRATION"; does this mean I can control the LSD and can I switch DSC on or off? What are the resulting affects of this? Anybody knowledgable on this?
The sales team at BMW couldn't advice me. |

You can turn DSC on or off (and indeed half it "half on") but there are no LSD controls.

Hit the DTC button once to turn off DSC and turn on DTC. Hold down the DTC button to engage the e-diff. IMO the eLSD thing is pants, the inside tyre still spins up coming out of bends. It's no replacement to a real LSD, but it is better than nothing.

Been crying out for a proper LSD on the E92 and aftermarket seems the way to go. (Check thread on E90 Post UK). You have a 6 cyl turbo beast ripping up the tarmac and on UK roads in winter that is not a good thing with heavy traffic! A proper LSD allows the car to become more 'human' and the feedback is superb. You can hold it around the sticky bits and feel when it's going to let go, then correct with a twitch. The boring BMW system keeps you safe, but doesn't do anything for the soul of ther car IMHO.
