looks '6/10 ', not a laudable design.

I like the new interior too. The outside is not as aggressive which is true but it still looks good. Hey would anyone care to explain the picture with the parking spot and a green arc guiding the car into it. Is it some new parking technology or something?

In german:
"Als Ergänzung zur Park Distance Control (PDC) wird im neuen X5 eine Rückfahrkamera angeboten. Im Display zeigt sich das Bild zudem mit interaktiven Rangiermarken."
My translation:
"As an addition to Park Distance Control (PDC) a rear camera is optional. The display shows the picture with interactive marks to manoeuvre".

yup, it is like landing an airplane. It is there to guide you to your parking destination and if you go out of the guided chart, you get ejected from the car with a confirmation "get out, you not a worthy bmw driver"

I hope my german stranslation is accurate...

The new X5 looks good, have they released any specs with regard to their new V8 diesel?

For a lot of dumb drivers, having a projected reverse path on the rear view camera is a cool feature. I guess the next thing automakers will do is to have this projected on your windshield using the HUD display for those who can't drive straight! ?!?!

Thanks for the translation. I'm confused as to how the car would know where the driver wants to go in order to create the 'interactive marks to maneuver'.

i like the current x5 better... looks wider, meaner, and more manly... (its a rich soccor mom's car)... this new x5 looks kinda like the x3... front the rear at least.
