Tire wear question

What is the wear indicator on the BFGoodrich R1 tire? The circumpherential lines or the small holes near the perifery??

I have considerable tire wear after 3 track days, it seems. (I hoped they would last 5-6 occasions.)

I always run race tires down to the cords, personally. One trick I've used to get the most out of a set is to flip them on the rim, especially on cars that have not had even wear across the face of the tire. Can you post any pics of your tires to show us how bad they are?

I also run them almost with out indicators, but change prior to any cords. And yep, I have flipped them on the rim, and also rotate them every other event.

I will post some pics. I need more negative camber, since the wear is predominantly on the outer edge of the tires. Even on the rear. I have a feeling that somehow my -1.2 camber up front is not there any more?? Or I just need more.
Flipping the tires are excellent idea!! Only issue is mounting and balancing again.

Does anyone running Dinan camber plates with the stock springs?? Is it lifting the front??

The wear indicators are the small holes. Honestly, I really don't think you could have worn them down in 3 days. I have about 4 hard days on mine, and there is plenty of tread left. They are supposed to get hard with heat cycles, and grip might do down, but they should still offer better grip than any street tire. Wearing them all the way down like Ryan said is probably the best thing to do unless you are competing or something.

Good to know! the holes are still there, (even the circumpherential lines are clearly there) just got worried, since I go to the track every Friday if possible.
Thanks again.
