Which trim is which?

Another silly question you guys. I was just looking at the "bulid" section of BMWUSA.com and I noticed the two different wood trims. On the site, the Burl Walnut is much lighter than the poplar natural wood trim. On the CD Rom configurator, it is the other way around! The Walnut is much darker than the poplar. Does anyone know what the real deal is?

Build section suspect

I wouldn't trust the colors on the build section. Seem to be way off. Just look at the beige leather, looks nothing like the real deal. You may have to see it in person to really know.

Hi guys. This is from the U.S. brochure images posted here. It shows the poplar as the lighter colored wood. Hopefully this is acurate or maybe it just adds confusion

I've noticed the color differences on the build section as well..I just completed an online survey they had going and that was pretty much the only thing I critiqued them on..the color accuracies...They SUCK!! The Sapp/Blk looks like a dark SG/Gray...

I checked it out at some ohter sites and it looks like the Walnut is actually much darker..

The poplar natural wood is the lighter of the two. The walnut is darker and is similar to the e46 Myrtle wood. My personal opinion is that the walnut looks better with the black, terra, and lemon interiors and the poplar looks best with the gray and beige interiors. I ordered the poplar with the beige (Sparkling Graphite exterior).

bozo521,
The walnut looks nice with the beige too. I don't think you could go wrong with either.

Here's the poplar:

This is the combo I have ordered with SG as exterior. Hopefully it will look better in person.
