Stay away from Mikeloff Brothers Body Shop
I had originally endorsed these guys, but after what these guys have done to scam me, my insurance and my car is simply pathetic. It's a long story on why I am so disgusted with them, but it comes down to this. Honest and integerity. Both of which they have NONE.
They've got some scam working together with Pacific BMW Service in Glendale CA. Mikeloff Fuckers were basically trying to remove any responsibility of damage the vehicle sustained when it was in their posession and put it on an exisiting claim. From this point on, this is were the bullshit just went on and on and the scam conitnues until I end up having to be responsible for 2 claims and paying $1000 in deductibles. Stay away from Pacific BMW Service, also in Glendale, CA. They were in complete cahoots since the moment they realized that they now had to fix the mess that Mikeloff had done, Again, I ask you, how can a scrape to my left bumper lead to over $3000 in damages to the rack and pinion? The vehicle is 3 months old with 7k miles. That's like taking a kid into the hospital for a scrape to the arm and being told by the doctors, "We're sorry. The scrape has escalated into a complete cerebral hemorrage. We'll need to perform an appendectomy." There are probably some good people at both shops and your service with them may have been fine. I'm not going to name names, but the people that were all involved in this have names that sound like Chris, Greg and Peter. Nuf said. Collosion victim be forewarned. |

Pacific BMW Service claimed that there was damage to rack and pinion, etc, which happened when it was under the body shop's posession (meaning the body shop fucked up the vehicle when it was there the first time). So....when the body shop returned it to Pacific, that's when the body shop guy ("I know the guys at Pacific, he says, we're all really good friends. But I have to admit, they're also salesguys" whatever TF that means...) and the SA decided to scam a little more money out of my insurance.
See, I was told by the body shop guy not to worry about it. It was ALL going to be covered under the first agreed claim. But the very last minute, after agreeing to pay for some of the damage, the bodyshop turns and says nope! We ain't paying shit. So another claim is opened and when I return to pick up the car, the guy who agreed to pay...is conveniently away. I just wanted my car back. It's been close to a month since I scraped my left side bumper and broke the left taillight. I was tired of the bullshit. I paid the second deductible. I had had enough, Long. |

That sounds criminal...man, LA really is the Big City....I fell like we're so naive and innocent here in Montreal. The two smashups we had with our Bimmers were fixed in the basement of the dealership for a total of $25,000, and never a whiff of dishonesty. My heart goes out to you, Pet.

i just browse through this forum to read up on some topics but as soon as i read this thread i had to sign up and tell you my opinion...i've taken my M there not once but 3 TIMES!...im a very picky guy especially when it comes to my M and i won't take it just anywhere...Mikeloff is a GREAT body shop and i've had nothing but good experiences with them...they do such CLEAN work and you always see BMW's there because they are an approved by BMW body shop...as far as Paicifc BMW goes, i baught my car from them and have never had any troubles with their service department...YES, the waiting period for your car is long especially if you got into an accident but i guess it's because they want to do a good job on it...i really dont think anyone is out to scam you dude because im sure BMW would not recognize this body shop if it was common practice with them...this was an unfortunate experience you had, but to come on and talk trash about a body shop that almost all M owners who I know and have had work done there, is pretty lame...if you had any sense what so ever, you would have called them and tried to talk to them and see what they could have done for you before you came here and defamed them infront of an entire community...that just goes to show your immature and rash behavior...instead of calling Mikeloff and calmly explaining your side and not jumping to conclusions about scams and what not, you started crying and ranting like a little baby...do not defame a company that most M owners, such as myself, who are going to be holding onto our cars for a very long time and caring for them, see as a reputable and HONEST place to do our business...IMHO i totally understand the pain and agony it is to deal with insurance companies but their main goal is to refuse claims, which is the reason they have these people called "adjusters" lol...seriously, you should have talked to them before posting about it on the forum... either way, we're still going to give them business because they do an incredible job and are cool to deal with...im sure if you gave them a chance and were a little more willing to work with them, they would have done the right thing...

lol what a blatent attempt to deflect negative feedback...that is pretty terrible, SteelGreyDream. If anything, that post has only served to enhance the bad rep. Nice job...

yes i am from Glendale and whats wrong with that?...drop by here sometime and see how many people in Glendale drive bimmers...i have no special interest in this nor am i making any profit from giving my opinion...i just think that for every 1 negative feedback, there's 100 positive ones and so the rest of the 99 positive opinions suddenly dont matter anymore...the reason i dont post here is because i dont own an E90, but i do browse this forum along with E90 fanatics because i am a BMW enthusiast...he can give negative feedback and i can in turn give positive...he stated his bad experience and i stated my good experience(S)...so i dont see how i am deflecting anything here?...

Nothing wrong with posting negative comment about your experience. We all can have bad experience and it's useful to share it with others so that they can take that into consideration when deciding where to take their car next time.
SteelGreyDream, I appreciate you trying to share your positive experience which is also very useful for people to know. But blaming someone of immature behavior because he posted his opinion is a bit over the top. What I am getting out of this is that what matters the most is my personal experience. We are all different and reading about experiences of others can be helpful but will not substitute our own... |
