Sporatic Power/Boost?

This may all be in my head, but I am seeking your advice anyway. I have no problems with the power of my 335, I love it and it gives me a lot of joy.

The problem is I feel like sometimes when I gas it, the power booms like a bat out of hell and sometimes it just accelerates mildly. Now, I've been driving stick for 11 years and I'm aware of power bands and turbo lag. This isn't the case. The car will be in a solid rev range and I will floor it not get that usual RUSH of power sometimes.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Thank you.

I would venture to guess that the fat chick would slow down the car at all times while present. This slowdown is random.

are you tuned? could be a little heatsoak from time to time as well.. could also be DTC/DSC intervention that could be cutting power if it senses wheels are about to break traction. For this reason I always drive with all nannies off..

sounds kinda familiar -- not saying its the case with your car .. mine granted its still not fully broken in -- i found that if i hopped on it at times it was "all there" and feel real torquey -- but other times even after the engine warmed up, it felt a lil soggy in regards to acceleration. til one night i jump on it and the SES light comes on and it really "feels" bad.. turns out i had a bad injector on #1cylinder. they replaced 1 injector and the associated spark plug, and now after 150mi of adapting its strong all the time. so there could be a lot of variables to your lack of power equation.

i'd drive it and note when (hot / cold / after hard passes / high ambient temp) when it happens and drill down from there. if you find a pattern, then you have a better starting point on a lack of fuel (eg injectors HDP pump). lack of boost (turbo/wastegate / engine sensor issue) or something totally different than has been mentioned..

I get the same sometimes. You're right, it's probably all in our heads. Could it be the program? Such as 29.2?

OT, your picture makes me want a strawberry shake.
