Style 162 replicas
I finally accepted delivery last Wednesday (8/30) after 8 long weeks of waiting (ordered on 7/5) and the car really is a pleasure to drive! Two days after delivery I mounted style 162 replica wheels + Pirelli PZero Nero M&S tires from Lakeshore Wheel and Tire. The car looks 10x better and, strangely enough, is a lot smoother and quieter. I know some people think it would look even better if lowered, but I think I like it the way it is.
Here are some photos from a trip I took today in Shenandoah. |

its a great look!!!
I did the same on my 325i. I now have OEM 162's on, and did have the same Pirelli tires on as well... Im back to the OEM runflats though... EDIT: I didnt see that they were replicas... Those rears certainly looked tucked in... Not to be cynical, but it does look like your car is on stilts... Lower it, get some chrome tail pipes, and you will have one heck of a ride!!!! |

Looks good, I had been looking at Lakeshore's replicas for some time. How's the quality? Customer service?
Some 12mm or 15mm spacers would make the rears sit better....oh and blacklines as well Please take time to sign up at our DC metro e90 registry, details are in my sig panel.

Nice. 162's are awesome. Best thing about them is that they are among the easiest to clean of any alloy wheel of any car I have ever owned.

Looks hot, I love those wheels.
BUT (and I'm never one to say this) that car is in serious need of lowering. Why is it riding so high? |

I know your 325 doesn't have the sport suspension, but even with a regular suspension, it shouldn't be that high, perhaps the shipping blocks were not removed prior to you taking delivery?

Actually, I must concur. Your car is sitting unusually high. Have a check in your wheel wells and see if the shipping blocks are still on. There has been cases where the shipping blocks were left on because of sloppy PDI

I think the reason the car is so high is that it's a non ZSP. 162's are almost always on ZSP cars which have the lowered sports suspension.

that shouldn't be the case, if my memory serves me right, the difference in height between a non-zsp and a zsp car is only 0.5", furthermore, by changing to a bigger rim, the overall diameter of the setup (rim + tire) is not increased, it's the same, bigger rim just mean skinnier sidewall on the tire.
