I have a unique trade offer if anyone is interested...

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
Ok this might sound strange but stick with me here...

I want Alum. Interior trim for my non-Idrive. If anyone has this in like new condition I am willing to trade my wood trim PLUS.....

A complete new stereo for a Ford car (or any other car with 6"x8"/5"x7" speakers in the front and back). I work at a car stereo shop so I can tell you if the speakers I have will fit your other non E90 car or not. So you will get 2 pairs (4 speakers total) of these http://www.polkaudio.com/caraudio/re...ies/mm/mmc570/ which have an MSRP of $199 a pair, although they do sell for much cheaper online. All of the speakers are brand new in a box never installed. Also you will get an Alpine CDA-9847 CD player. It is sirius ready and IPOD ready. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-o7R755N...p?i=500CDA9847 The cd player is slightly used but looks perfect. I got all of this stuff for my girlfriends ford focus but we broke up so now it is just sitting around. I will pay all shipping of this and my trim if you pay the shipping of your alum. trim. Let me know, thanks!!!

Pics can be taken tomorrow if needed.
These speakers are very nice and sound great. The cone is made out of carbon fiber and is water proof with a rubber surround.

bro... why would you want to trade your very expensive wood trim, AND hundreds of dollars of sound equipment for not very expensive aluminum trim??

I don't feel alum as well, its like brushed metal where as on the other hand you have classy luxurious natural wood

aluminum trim is MUCH better looking, and rarer than wood for an E90....

Wood belongs in a 5/7 series!

thats why

Agreed that aluminum looks great. But you're ignoring the economics of the thing. To buy new wood trim, you're going to spend literally thousands of dollars. to buy new alum trim, you MIGHT break one thousand.

So why trade your HIGH cost trim AND items for a LOW cost trim????

I can buy the trim online for $699 from Rover Active. Or black carbon fiber from Jlevi

in all honesty, if i had wood i wouldn't swap. too much potential for creaks and sounds from the dash. nothing more irritating. just keep it.
