Depends on your other mods or your planned mods

since I only have a dci and jb+, and I'm satisfied for now, I have no need for an upgraded fmic

but if you feel your mods call for it, I've never heard anyone complain about a fmic upgrade

how hard was the install??

is there a DIY self thread and do you recommend?

is it direct bolt on or do you have cut and stuff to make it fit?

do u suggest getting another mod to go with it to make run more efficient?

dude u wont go wrong with an intercooler period. Anyone will do well. Just kinda gotta go after what u feel comfortable with. If ur in a lease u dont want any cutting...price..etc. But STETT is a good one

You leave it. The only reason your cutting it is to fit the Stett FMIC because it is taller than OEM. The stock cooler will still mount back in place. If anything buy a new shroud.

There's really no cons to any of the aftermarket intercoolers from this forum with the exception of trimming.

I would like to see a weight comparison between the stock and aftermarket FMIC's. I would also like to see a power handling comparison... I have seen a few say "it is good for 550 RWHP" etc. and I would like to see those comparisons as well. I was always a big fan of the Helix but now the AMS seems to be a good alternative as well (not too big, not too small) and with the 3" inlet/outlet ports it might be the better option on down the road for an upgrade to a larger single turbo (my goal). However the Helix is still larger... so will it perform better at say 600 RWHP? Or is the AMS alot lighter with the cast end tanks and more able to hold that kind of power without literally breaking?

TONS of questions, I know... but these are my thoughts...
