Looking to hear upgraded stereo's in SF Bay Area

Hi guys,
I'm thinking about upgrading the audio - specifically starting out with an amp only or amp + DSP upgrade. Anyone here in the bay area, either in San Francisco or the peninsula with this kind of setup that I could hear?

Any suggestions on good installers? I'm totally incompetent, last car I installed a denison ipod hook up and kicked myself for years at the bad job I did.
