Audis also have two rear fogs.

Mercedes has one fog light, I believe Audi and BMW have 2 rear fogs.

Audi A6 has 2, I think the other Audis only have 1, atleast I know the A4 does.

my buddy's 04 audi a4 1.8t has only one rear fog light.

Okay, this is going to be a stupid question, I suppose... but fog is an anomaly around here, so I have no idea.

What exactly is the purpose of rear fogs? Are they supposed to enhance visibility while driving through fog? People don't confuse these with someone's brake lights?

thats why most cars have just one rear fog light so you understand more easy..

they are SUPER bright people say that they cant see my car because of how bright they are at night

SocalM3, all you did was get a new light switch? The fogs already came with the car standard?

those of us with rear fogs ordered a switch to enable them...no US car comes with these. check out the rear fog enable diy oin the diy section for details.

the switch enables the lights which actually are the adaptive brake lights. when fogs are on, no adaptive brake light. when fogs are off, adaptive brake lights work as intended.

well i agree with everything except the adaptive braking part of it. When i tested it the rear fog flashed and then stayed on again so it attracts attention. at least thats what happend when i tried it and had a couple people watch.

The purpose of those light is when there is a lot of fog, en there is here in belgium, and there is a visability of only 3 meters max., then you got to put em on so that the car who drives behind you can see

you further than those 3 meters, those lights are also brighter!
