cherohala skyway
so today i took a trip up to Blood Mountiain, got there around 4-ish. thought i'd head up to the Tail of the Dragon since i'd never been. tried to find out how to get there with the limited signal i had on my phone and headed up to Robbinsville, GA via my iDrive.
kept seeing signs about Cherohala Skyway, thinking it was synonymous with Deal's Gap - so i took 143 West. really fun road - but i don't think the curves are as tight as the Dragon. anyway, had a really amazing time breaking in the new sway bar and non-run flat tires! the Cherohala at night with our car's adaptive headlights is really cool - i was about the only car on the road the whole way. took 68 South to cut around having to go through Chattanooga - 68 is a must-drive if you can catch it without traffic as i did tonight. ended up back at Blood Mountain on 19. frickin' good times in the dark on those curves, though i wouldn't recommend it unless you've driven enough in the daylight. cheers. iPhone shots edited with the Best Camera app: 5300': 2600':
