2007 E90 320i Change of Air Filter

Hi guys,

It's my first post

Just wonder anyone have the pic/ photo to show me how to change to air-filter for the engine cos I tried to remove the bots however there's still a sensor linked to the filter and I can't remove it. I tried to find the topic in the u.s. web but the filter in the related topic is not exactly the same one.

Anyone can help?

Many thanks!

Phil

Welcome Phil.

Do you have a pic showing the sensor?

Does yours look like the components at the link below?

its hard to know what part without pictures but.

There is a tab on each sides of the afm (plug with wires), press on the two tabs and pull hard, its on there pretty tight. you don't need to remove the Torx screws.

hope that helps

Thank you very much to Little Croco and my filter is same as the "link". The senor is wired with the compartment of air filter.

It is what I tried to do but it is very hard and I am afraid to break it. Any tool you suggest me to use?

Many thanks!

Hey man, sorry late reply, been busy.

If you haven't been able to pull the plug yet, i've added some pictures below.

Just pull at it hard, aslong as you pull straight, it won't break anything i guess.

goodluck man.
