Always thought Hamilton sort of stole Button's shine when he won last year . So glad for Button, drive of his career. Represents the "old school" British driver having been in it for about a decade. Happy for him.

Brilliant of Ross Brawn to mention the Brawn team, including the loss of 200 employees mid-season.

I am over the moon in all honesty... Especially as Jenson drove like a World Champion today.

He drove superbly. Great moves, a truly great drive... WHAT A GRAND PRIX EH.

VERY VERY HAPPY... WELL DONE JENSON..

I remember Jenson from back in karting, long before he moved into single seaters. His old man John used to own a busines rebuilding kart engines. Now look at them both. Very happy indeed.

Well done.

On another Note. I was very impressed with Kobayashi, drove like a pro on his debut, a champion of the future. Made Alguersuari, Grosjean Piquet look like plebs.

Very aggressive and a quick young man.

Vettel still has time on his side and also drove a good race.

So in stats terms with one to go.

Jens... 6 wins, 2FL, 4 poles,

Vettel, 3 wins, 2FL and 4 poles.

Ruby, 2 wins, 2fl and 1 pole.

Great season. Looking forward to Abu Dhabi

I dont agree.

He did nothing wrong. He was driving the race of his life and im quite sure garunteed himself a drive for next year.
webber Moved over on Kimi and they touched... barrichello moved over on lewis and they touched... Thats motor racing buddy.

Kob was driving very well. He put up a good fight to the Soon to be World champion. Thats to be applauded. Worked his whole life to get to this position, he had a good car and wasnt going to waste the opportunity.

That's interesting Carl, especially as most people watching it though he was dangerous, Brundle said something along the lines of "You can get away with that in the lesser or amateur classes but in these cars at these speeds it's just down right dangerous", Hamilton said similar and even the new world champion radioed to his pit crew to notify Charlie Whiting of Kobayashi's antics after he'd spent several laps trying to pass.

The fact is the rules state that you can make 1 directional or "defensive" move in order to block a car attempting to pass. Weaving left to right to block is dangerous and against the rules.

Don't get me wrong I'm all for ballsy driving but he was out of order.

Brundle said it cuz nak came off, which is partly his fault also. Kob moved over and nak misjudged slighty. Racing incident i say. Just like the kimi/webber,
lewis/ruby incidents which also resulted in contact.

Carl there is clearly a difference between a good racing maneuver and a newby weaving all over the racetrack. one is skillful driving the other is dangerous and against the rules.

But that's just the point Carl, all of those were a single defensive move, which are allowed in the rules. Yes they push the rules and there's contact and/or grass tracking, but still legal and as you say any outcomes are classed as racing incidents.

Kobayashi's antics were NOT racing incidents but dangerous driving on the part of a newbie.

I'll commend his enthusiasm and I agree he made far more of a mark than the other recent new drivers. But was it for the right reasons?

Ok yes fair point.

Not once did i Go ''ooo'', he is dangerous. Not once. I Like aggressive drivers though. That win at all costs attitude etc.

I just couldnt help but applaud his driving throughout the race. He has made a big impact and was battling like a real potential World champion.

I was quite impressed actually. I hope he succeeds next year.

If he can reign it in a little and stick within the rules I agree, he'll be a worthy addition to the grid. Just a little maturity could make him great.

Otherwise, if all he does to stop people getting past is swerve around, he'll take over from Arnoux as the "mobile chicane"!
